Job Description:
MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Lead Site Safety
- Head the company site team for the successful completion of construction activities in line with project objectives, priorities, and contract specifications.
- Serve as a member of the Project Team (PT) when assigned to a project.
- Oversee the execution of fabrication, construction, and hookup activities.
- Coordinate the activities of site safety, technical, and quality inspection personnel.
- Assess if corrective actions are necessary to meet project objectives and work towards their implementation.
- Coordinate site interfaces between contractors, subcontractors, Production Operations, Drilling, and other ongoing projects.
- Report progress, performance, initiatives, issues, and challenges to the Construction Site Manager or Project Manager as required.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion the Company Sites Leadership Expectations.
- Promote on-site safety awareness and safe performance among contractors and Project Team members.
- Lead or assist in the preparation and development of construction planning deliverables (Pre-Check Point 2).
- Interface with contractors on a daily basis.
- Provide input in the review and development of contractor's detailed plans and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance, recommending corrective actions and verifying their implementation.
- Coordinate the resolution of construction-related issues with guidance from the supervisor.
- Establish, implement, and maintain a verification process for mechanical completion.
- Utilize best practices, company systems/tools, and current construction methodologies.
- Ensure the appropriate materials management system is implemented on-site.
- Coordinate with on-site personnel regarding planning and implementation of fabrication, construction, and mechanical completion activities.
- Participate in the company's lessons learned reviews and provide input to close-out report sections upon completion of work.
- Ensure the execution of the contract is in compliance with contract specifications.
- Ensure change requests align with the Management of Change Plan.
- Provide input to the appraisal process for assigned site personnel.
- Manage the project's business services, contracting, and materials management organization and functional interfaces throughout the execution stage.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in-field construction planning, execution, and completions.
- Previous on-site experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a technical field.
- Willingness to travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites.
- Previous experience as a Construction Site Lead on major capital projects.
