Mrs Jonathan is said to have visited Rivers State capital to attend the burial of her former Chief Security Officer (CSO), Tamuno Jacob Igbomie.
Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, was on July 17, 2015, prevented from using the VIP lounge of the Port Harcourt International Airport, reports say.

Mrs Jonathan is said to have visited Rivers State capital to attend the burial of her former Chief Security Officer (CSO), Tamuno Jacob Igbomie.

However, when she attempted to gain entrance to the VIP lounge upon arrival at the airport, she was denied access on “orders from above”, The Tribune reports.

A source who witnessed the incident said:
“Last Friday, July 17, the former first lady arrived Port Harcourt International Airport and made for the VIP lounge as had been the norm. However, she was practically locked out and prevented from accessing the lounge.”
“All efforts by the former president’s wife and the few people by her to pacify the security agents at the airport to allow the protocol were rebuffed, as they stood their ground claiming that they had ‘orders from above,’” the source added.
Igbomie was found dead in his Honda Accord car along Airport Road, Abuja on June 26.
